\ MURIEL QUANCARD-JOHNSON
principal

Muriel established Quancard Contemporary Art in 2006 after serving as Director of Yvon Lambert Gallery and Manager of Casey Kaplan Gallery in New York. In these capacities she developed a reputation for her ability to produce exhibitions and site-specific artworks with artists including Carlos Amorales, Robert Barry, Trisha Donnelly, Anna Gaskell, Liam Gillick, Douglas Gordon, Carsten Holler, Jonathan Monk, Simon Starling and Lawrence Weiner.

Before coming to New York, she was in charge of communications for a consortium of successful Parisian galleries representing a total of eighty cutting-edge artists, including Air de Paris, Jennifer Flay and Emmanuel Perrotin. While pursuing her graduate studies in Art Theory in France, Muriel founded Plastik, a not-for-profit organization that generated several large-scale exhibitions.

Quancard Contemporary Art is an extension of Muriel's passionate interest in forward-looking art forms, and ongoing collaborations with numerous artists and institutions.
