SPH(E:A)RE, Los Angeles & Paris
A series of exhibitions and symposiums on ecology and urbanism developed as a cultural exchange between the cities of Los Angeles and Paris.

SPH(E:A)RE is formatted to create sustained dialogue and produce collaborations between artists, architects, writers, filmmakers, sociologists, scientists, theorists and cultural organizations.
Based on a system of partnerships and the networks generated by it, the program will explore topics related to the city and the environment.

PRINCIPLE
Events will take place at selected galleries, art spaces, foundations, and institutions in the two cities. Artists represented by, or working closely with, the angeleno guest organizations will be exhibited in the Parisian host venues and vice versa. Thus, participating venues and organizations are invited to propose and swap projects with participants from the other city. A season in Los Angeles will follow a season in Paris.
Site-specific works and public interventions are projected in concurrence with the exhibitions.
SPH(E:A)RE will be coordinated with prominent cultural events such as the FIAC (Paris International Art Fair) for the launch of the French season.
